UWE Bristol – consolidating resources and increasing ROI

For UWE Bristol, moving to Vepple wasn’t just about a new virtual tour, it was a strategic move to focus their resources where they matter most. By moving away from their old digital publication platform and centralising their content, the team achieved a significant cost saving. But the real win was the impact on student recruitment. Charlotte Hopes explains how the platform has made life easier for the international team while providing an immersive, accessible experience for every student. Instead of managing multiple systems, UWE now has one personalised “virtual home” that showcases their facilities and tells their story with much more power.
It’s basically a hygiene factor having a virtual tour these days. It’s so important for those who can’t attend open days. It’s important for international recruitment in terms of how we made the case. We were putting a lot of time and effort into developing our digital publications and they looked great. They were capturing leads. It felt like we were putting a disproportionate amount of time and effort resource into keeping that up to date for what we were getting back. And the case we made initially for the virtual experience was based on the opportunity to showcase the facilities and spaces and to provide that immersive experience that was accessible to everybody with that added bonus level of personalization that we could do. Um and so the feedback internally has been really positive actually and the international team love it because it says they say it makes their job easier. But yeah, when we we bought in gating, we moved away from the digital publication platform we’ve been using and this has resulted in a big saving for us and we’re able to really focus our attention, our resource now into this platform that’s giving us a lot
