Frequently Asked Questions about Vepple's 360 Panoramas
Can't I find a cheaper, local photographer or use someone in-house?
A campus shoot isn’t just another photography job. 360s are recruitment assets designed to deliver impact online for years to come. Universities tell us they choose Vepple because our quality and reliability save them time, money, and headaches in the long run. Some universities have in-house talent and technology to run their own shoots, but if you have any doubts about quality, please get in touch first so we can support you
What makes Vepple different from other suppliers?
In the last 20 years, we’ve captured and processed 360s for over 100 universities. That means we know what works, what doesn’t, and how to get it right first time. You’re not just buying photography, you’re buying proven expertise.
Are 360s really worth the investment?
Yes. For most students, your campus is the deciding factor in choosing where to apply. 360s give them that immersive “on campus” feeling from anywhere in the world.
How do we know the quality will last?
Because universities have been using our 360s for years, and they still look great! We shoot with premium equipment, experienced photographers, and a consistent style that ensures your content is future-proof.
What if our campus changes in a few years?
That’s expected, and we make it easy to refresh your 360s. Many of our customers return to us as their campus evolves, because they know the updated content will blend seamlessly into their existing library.
Can Vepple 360s integrate into our virtual tour or website?
Absolutely! Our 360s are designed to plug straight into Vepple’s virtual experiences, or onto your own website using our Embed solutions, with no fuss. That’s why so many universities come back to us again and again.
We already have our own 360 panoramas, can we use those in Vepple?
Of course! As long as they are in an equirectangular format, jpg, with a 2:1 aspect ratio and a minimum resolution of 6000px x 3000px.
How much do you charge?
We will provide a quote based on the number of images you require us to shoot, and how fast you need them to be processed. Please get in touch with your requirements and we can go from there!
How many spaces can you capture in a day?
We can typically capture 25 spaces in a day, depending on how close your locations are and what levels of dressing/staging are required. Our photographers have even had to empty bins and plump cushions on beds! We generally find the more you can prepare your spaces in advance, the more spaces the photographers can capture.
Should students be visible?
360s that include students feel warmer and more inviting, which our research shows prospective students prefer. That said, it depends on the space; a busy café or atrium without people can feel empty and cold, while a smaller space like a recording studio can work fine without them. Where possible, we recommend including students (or staff standing in), but don’t worry if it isn’t always practical.
