Never start from scratch. Before our team arrives, we build a pre-styled environment using your university’s branding. This gives you a tangible prototype to experiment with and tweak live in the room on Day 1.

KickStart: your questions answered

No. One of the biggest advantages of KickStart is that it trains marketers on how to use our CMS. It doesn’t require programming or coding! We handle the heavy lifting, configuration, and setup, meaning you do not need to wait to get stuck in. Some universities do include web or IT team members at this stage as part of getting Vepple live on your website, and this can be handy. If your busy teams only have limited availability, just let us know when these people are heading to the session, and we’ll carve out time to make it relevant to them.

KickStart is about getting your core team up to speed, confident, and aligned. The number of colleagues that it takes varies from university to university, it’s up to you really, but we can talk about it and give a clearer steer, before you start rallying the troops!

You can arrive having done nothing and we can still build you a strong experience. That said, anything you sort beforehand simply means we get further together during the two days, and you’re left with less to finish afterwards. In the document we send you ahead of KickStart there’s a list of things that, if you have the time, will help the most. This includes having 360 Panoramas ready, content gathered from across socials, an ideal launch date in mind and having your key recruitment event dates ready.

We design the two days to be collaborative but highly efficient, specifically protecting your staff from project burnout. While we need your input on strategy, branding, and approval, our team is there to become an extension of yours, doing a lot of the background work to get things over the line easily and efficiently.

Absolutely. You will get hands-on training with the user-friendly Vepple CMS. You have full control over your content, meaning you can edit everything whenever you need, without waiting on external support.

KickStart is an optional onboarding bolt-on designed for teams that want to go live quickly, are short on internal resources, or want dedicated, hands-on help to launch their first cycle. Most universities use KickStart, but you don’t have to! Speak to our team to find out how to add it. If you’re looking for support and you’ve already launched, we run refresher training too – just speak to your Customer Success Manager.

It’s a bit tricky to build tours without 360s. You’ll need to book a professional 360 Panorama shoot or conduct one yourselves (read our tips here) before your KickStart days. If we do the shoot, we will handle the editing, formatting and bulk uploads on your behalf.
